Before I ever knew what a stage was, I had center spotlight in the laundry room. Clad in ruffle socks and black patent leather shoes (the shiny kind that click when you walk), I’d put on full-length concerts for an audience of detergent bottles and dryer sheets. The echo was glorious. The drama? Unmatched. That’s where it started—my first standing ovation was probably from a spinning load of towels. What a time.
Fast forward to a B.M. in Vocal Performance, founding my first performing arts academy, directing over 35 live stage musical theatre productions, guiding my students to audition advancement, collegiate scholarship, television and theatrical agency representation and commercial bookings, I combine my love of sound and story to help my students find the voice they never knew they had. Oh, we’ll find it and when we do, buckle up buttercup!
